On Sunday 24th May 2009 we rented a motorbike again. We went to the way to Tomohon again. Tomohos has many homstays to choose alternating to Manado. We tried to seek some homestays that it was told in Lonely Planet. At opposte to Pniel Church (picture below) we can see a small road led us to some homestays inside.
วันอาทิตย์ที่ 24 พฤษภาคม 2552 พวกเราเช่ารถมอเตอร์ไซต์อีกครั้งครับขับไปเทืองโตโมฮอนอีกรอบ ก่อนมาที่นี่พวกเราวาดแผนไว้ว่าจะพักโฮมสเตย์ที่โตโมฮอนด้วยแต่เนื่องจากไม่ไกลจากมานาโด ขับมอเตอร์ไซต์ประมาณครึ่งชั่วโมงก็ถึงแล้ว เราก็เลยขี้เกียจย้ายข้าวของ แต่ก็มาสำรวจโฮมสเตย์ที่นี่ด้วยครับ มาถึงโตโมฮอนตรงข้ามโบสถ์ชื่อ Pniel (รูปข้างบน) เราจะเห็นซอยเข้าไปจะมีโฮมสเตย์อยู่หลายที่
We went along this road. Moun Lokon is ahead เข้าไปตามทางนี้ครับ เห็นภูเขาไฟโลคอนอยู่เบื้องหน้า

Gunung Berapi Lokon, This picture was taken when we were in Gardenia Resort. We also saw Vihara Buddhayana when we were in this Resort too.

The Vihara Buddhayana has 9 storeys วิหารครับสูง 9 ชั้น
We walked up until the top floor of Vihara then we saw the view around.

After visited Vihara Buddhayana we tried to fine the way to Lake Linow (Danau Linow) Just cross the traffice light, go straight on then you will see this sign. They way to Lahendong
หลังจากชมพระวิหารจนสมใจแล้วเราก็ออกเดินทางไปหา ทะเลสาบลิโนว์ครับ ข้ามแยกไฟแดงไปทางตรงนะครับ สักพักจะเจอทางเข้าไปหมู่บ้านชื่อลาเห็นดง ชื่อแปลกดีนะครับ (Lahendong)
When we reached nearly the lake, the road was like this. ก่อนถึงทะเลสาบ ถนนก็ค่อยๆเล็กลงจนเป็นแบบนี้ครับ
Danau Linow or Linow Lake ถึงแล้วครับทะเลสาบลิโนว์
We could not stay long time there because we did not like the smell from the lake. All the time we saw the bubbles of the sulpher gas from underground as it is located in volcano area.
อยู่ได้ไม่นานเราก็รีบกลับครับเพราะว่าเหม็นกลิ่นกำมะถัน เนื่องจากทะเลสาบตั้งอยู่บริเวณดินภูเขาไฟครับ ตลอดเวลามีฟองอากาศขึ้นมาเหนือน้ำตลอดเลย เข้าใจว่าไม่น่าจะมีปลาหรือสิ่งมีชีวิตใดๆอาศัยอยู่เลย
Went back to Tomohon again and stopped at a local restaunt nearby the main traffic lights of Tomohon Town. (The way to Danau Tondano)
กลับมาที่โตโมฮอนอีกครั้งครับ หิวแล้ว ก็เลยแวะร้านอาหารข้างไฟแดงใหญ่ ทางที่จะเลี้ยวไปทะเลสาบทอนดาโนครับ
Yummy Yummy 13,500 Rp อร่อยมากๆๆๆ คนละ 13,500 รูเปียห์ครับ ลูกชิ้นเนื้อวัวอันเบ้อเร่อ(ไม่เห็นในภาพเพราะมันอยู่ใต้เส้นก๋วยเตี๋ยวครับ)
After had lunch we went to find the way to go up to the crater of Gunung Mahawu. To go to Gunung Mahawu we have to ask the people to find the way to Rurukan Village. But the entrance of Gunung Mahawu is before Rurukan Village. You have to find this small sign. It is really small!!
อิ่มแล้วก็ออกเดินทางต่อครับหาทางไปปากปล่องภูเขาไฟมาฮาวูครับ การที่เราจะไปปากปล่องภูเขาไฟมาฮาวูนั้นเราจะต้องหาทางเข้าไปหมู่บ้านชื่อ"รูรูกัน" ครับ ถามชาวบ้านเรื่อยๆครับ แต่ทางขึ้นปากปล่องภูเขาไฟจะอยู่ก่อนถึงหมู้บ้านรูรูกัน นะครับ ต้องสังเกตให้ดีนะครับ ป้ายเล็กมากๆๆๆๆ
During the way going up we looked back and saw this view. Tondano Lake is on the right of this picture.
ขับขึ้นไป พอมองย้อนกลับมาก็จะเห็นวิวแบบนี้ครับ มองเห็นทะเลสาบทอนดาโนด้วยครับอยู่ด้านขวาในรูปนะครับ
End of the road, we parked the motorbike and walked up to this way. It was very tired.
สุดถนนก็ต้องจอดรถมอเตอร์ไซต์เอาไว้บริเวณนี้แล้วเดินขึ้นไปทางเดินแบบนี้ เหนื่อยมากครับ ขอบอก
After 15 minutes walking we arrive at the crater of Gunung Mahawu.
เดินขึ้นประมาณ 15 นาที ในที่สุดเราก็มาถึงปากปล่องภูเขาไฟมาฮาวูครับ
Around the crater, there are many trees and very tall grass. We wanted to go to another side of the crater so we had to walk along the walk way with the grass taller than our head. Wear your helmet and jacket is better because the grass is very sharp.
รอบๆปากปล่องภูเขาไฟมีต้นไม้ต้นหญ้าขึ้นเต็มไปหมด เราอยากไปอีกด้านของปากปล่องก็เลยต้องเดินผ่านต้นหญ้าสูงๆท่วมหัวเราไปอย่างนี้ครับ อย่าลืมสวมเสื้อแจ๊กเก็ต แล้วก็หมวกกันน็อคด้วยครับ หญ้าคมมากๆเดี๋ยวโดนบาด
The crater of Gunung Mahawu. Very deep!! But we saw the names of the people that were written in the bottom of the crater. How they went down to write their names?
ปากปล่องภูเขาไฟมาฮาวูครับ ลึกมากๆ มองลงไปเสียวไส้ติ่งจริงๆ แต่เบื้องล่างเราเห็นคนอุตริลงไปเขียนชื่อไว้ด้วยไม่รู้ลงไปทางไหนเพราะว่าลึกจริงๆ
We met some indonesian friends on the crater. เจอเพื่อนๆชาวอินโดมาเที่ยวด้วย เขาขอเราถ่ายรูปเลยให้ถ่ายกล้องเราด้วย
We went down to the motorbike again. Indonesian friends invited us to swim in the Hot Spring at Tondano. So, we went with them.
ลงมาที่รถแล้วเพื่อนๆชาวอินโดก็ชวนเราไปอาบน้ำพุร้อนที่ทอนดาโนครับ เราเลยไปกับพวกเขา

Tondano Town มาถึงทอนดาโนแล้วครับ
We stopped our motorbikes here and went inside. Indonesian friends paid for us, it was 4,000 Rp per person.
จอดมอเตอร์ไซต์ที่บ้านหลังนี้ครับ แล้วก็เข้าไปด้านใน เพื่อนชาวอินโดจ่ายค่าเข้าให้ครับ คนละ 4,000 รูเปียห์ ครับ
Hot spring in the swimming pool. (different from the thing that we had imegined before.)
น้ำพุร้อนในสระว่ายน้ำครับ ตอนแรกเข้าใจว่ามันจะพุขึ้นมาจากดินแล้วก็อาบซะอีก
Felt like we swam in the rice fields.
รู้สึกเหมือนว่ายน้ำในทุ่งนาเลยนะ ทุ่งนารายรอบครับ สวยไปอีกแบบ
Then we went back to Manado. The indonesian friends invited us to have dinner together but we negated because we had to return the motorbike and had to sleep earlier as we had to fly to Makassar, south Sulawesi in the next early morning.
หลังจากนั้นก็กลับมานาโดครับ เพื่อนๆอินโดชวนไปกินกันต่อแต่เราต้องคืนรถ แล้วก็ต้องนอนเร็ว เพราะพรุ่งนี้เรามีเที่ยวบินไปมากัสซาร์ตอนเช้ามืดครับ
