First Night in Manado คืนแรกที่มานาโด

At Manado Airport, (Sam Ratulangi Airport) after we passed the passport control we had to find the taxi but not much of them and a taxi driver asked us where we want to go, we said " to Celebes Hotel " and he said 85,000 Rupiah and we asked for a little discount he said only 80,000 Rupiah and we accept because we did not know how much shoulde it cost and how far from the airport to Manado Town and we knew later that about 60,000 Rupiah is O.K. But that was O.K. for us already because we had no choice and that was our first time there.
ทีสนามบินซาม ราตุลางี เมืองมานาโด หลังจากผ่านพิธีตรวจคนเข้าเมืองเสร็จแล้ว ก็ออกมาหาแท็กซี่ข้างนอก มีลุงแท็กซี่คนหนึ่งเข้ามาถามว่าเราจะไปไหน เราบอกว่าจะไปโรงแรมเซลีเบส แกคิดราคา 85,000 รูเปียห์ เราเลยขอต่อแกบอกว่าได้ 80,000 เท่านั้น ประมาณว่าห้ามต่ออีกแต่ราก็โอเคแล้วเพราะไม่รู้ว่าจริงๆแล้วต้องจ่ายเท่าไหร่และตัวเมืองมานาโดไกลแค่ไหน แต่เรามารู้ภายหลังว่าประมาณ 60,000 รูเปียห์ก็พอแล้ว แต่ไม่เป็นไรเพราะเราเพิ่งมาเป็นครั้งแรก

The picture above is Samratulangi Airport in the night time. After we negotiated the price the taxi driver took us to the town to Celebes Hotel. It took about 30 minutes to the town and then we checked-in for the standard room in Celebes Hotel. We planed to stay there just 2 nights first and will find another hotel later. The room price was 150,000 Rp per night, so we paid 300,000 Rp. When we saw the room, Oh my godness, no bathroom door just only the plastic curtain to close and look a little dirty. But we just told ourselves if we paid cheap we should not ask for more better room in this town. If compare with Koh Samui hotel, the place where we live 150,000 Rp is 600 Thai Baht and we already get the good room already.
ภาพข้างบนเป็นภาพภายนอกสนามบินซาม ราตุลางี ตอนกลางคืน หลังจากต่อรองราคากับลุงแท็กซี่แล้วเขาก็ส่งเราที่โรงแรมเซลีเบส ใช้เวลาประมาณ 30 นาที เข้ามาในเมือง หลังจากนั้น เราเช็คอิน ห้องสแตนดาร์ดรูม เราวางแผนไว้ว่าจะอยู่ที่นี่แค่ 2 คืนแล้วค่อยหาโรงแรมใหม่ทีหลัง ราคาห้องต่อคืนก็ 150,000 รูเปียห์ คิดเป็นเงินไทยก็ประมาณ 600 บาท 2 คืนเราก็จ่ายค่าโรงแรมไป 300,000 รูเปียห์ พอเข้าไปดูห้องก็แทบช็อคเพราะว่ามันไม่มีประตูห้องน้ำ มีแต่ผ้ายางกั้น แล้วก็ดูไม่ค่อยสะอาดเท่าไหร่ แต่ก็เอาเหอะนะ ราคาเท่านี้คิดอะไรมากถ้าเปรียบเทียบราคาโรงแรมธรรมดาที่เกาะสมุย 600 บาทนี้ก็ได้ห้องสวยๆแล้ว

The next picture will show you the front of Celebes Hotel, it looks so beautiful but the room we got was different from our imagination. After we changed our clothes and took a shower, we went outside to see around the town, and we got a little bit hungry. We saw many "rumah makan " it means restaurant but the food style look like Thai food but look not really clean enough. But, however, we chose one restaurant there and ordered food like fried fish and fried vegetables and steamed rice and we also ate Dabu Dabu, it is look like chilli sauce but we loved it because it was really nice tasce for us, like "Nam Prik Phauw" of Thai Food. We paid for our first dinner at 33,000 Rp (About 132 Thai Baht, not bad but if compare with the quality of the food in Thailand, we will have better food.) And nobody had diarrhoea.

รูปต่อมาก็เป็นด้านหน้าของโรงแรมเซลีเบสที่เราเข้าพัก ข้างหน้าดูสวยดี แต่ห้องของโรงแรมไม่สวยอย่างที่คิด หลังจากอาบน้ำเปลี่ยนเสื้อผ้าอะไรเสร็จแล้วก็ออกไปเดินเล่นข้างนอกโรงแรม รู้สึกหิวเลยจะหาอะไรกิน เจอร้านขายอาหารหลายร้านข้างถนน เรียกว่า รูมาห์ มากัน ก็แปลว่าร้านอาหารนั่นแหละ รูมาห์แปลว่าบ้าน มากัน แปลว่ากินครับ อาหารก็คล้ายๆบ้านเรามีข้าวมีแกง แต่ดูไม่ค่อยสะอาดเหมือนบ้านเราเลยแต่เราก็สั่งข้าว ปลาทอด ผัดผักมากิน เขาแถมดาบู ดาบู มาให้เราด้วย เป็นคล้ายๆซอสพริก เหมือนน้ำพริกเผา (บอกไม่ถูก) แต่ก็อร่อยดี ถูกปากคนไทยอย่างเราๆจริงๆเลย มื้อนี้จ่ายไป 33,000 รูเปียห์ครับ (ประมาณ 132 บาทไทย ค่อนข้างแพงครับถ้ากินราคานี้ในประเทศไทย ได้กินดีกว่านี้อีก แต่เรามาเที่ยวนะ ช่างเหอะ) กินเสร็จก็ลุ้นว่าจะท้องเสียกันหรือเปล่า แต่โชคดีครับ ไม่มีใครท้องเสียเลย ถือว่าโชคดีจริงๆเลยนะเนี่ย 555 (วันหลังมากินอีกก็ท้องไม่เสียครับ หลังก็ชักจะชินกับอาหารประเภทนี้ไปแล้วครับ)
